Have you ever noticed how the body carries stress in hidden places—tight shoulders, a stiff jaw, a belly that never seems to relax? These are not just “muscle knots.” They’re often signals from your fascia and nervous system, quietly holding on to past tension, stress, or even old emotions.
In my practice, I use a gentle induction process at the start of each session to help your body feel safe enough to release. Think of it as guiding your system into a state where letting go is not only possible but natural.
Creating a Space of Safety
The first step is always safety. You’ll be invited to notice the support beneath you—the pillow under your head, the steady table beneath your shoulders, and the soft foam holding your hips. This isn’t about “doing” anything. It’s about remembering that you are fully supported, and your body doesn’t need to hold itself up.
Permission to Release
So often, we move through life in “holding mode.” Muscles tighten, breath shortens, and the body stays braced as if it always needs to be ready. During this induction, you’re invited to give yourself permission to soften, to release, and to let go of what you no longer need—at your own pace, in your own way.
Normal Sensations of Release
As the body unwinds, you may feel warmth, tingling, gentle throbbing, waves of pressure, twitching, or light vibrations. Some people even notice the body wants to stretch, tremble, or wiggle a little. All of this is natural. It’s not something to hold back or “behave” through—these movements are your body’s way of completing cycles of tension and returning to ease.
A Deep Reset for the Fascia and Nervous System
With every breath, every pause, and every gentle touch, the fascia begins to soften. Layers that once felt stuck start to glide. The nervous system shifts into rest-and-repair mode, and the body remembers what ease feels like. Even if you drift into sleep, the release continues. Many clients describe the experience as the deepest rest they’ve had in years.
How You’ll Feel Afterwards
At the end of the session, people often notice more freedom in their breath, less tension in their body, and a sense of calm that lingers. The best part? This isn’t about forcing change. It’s about allowing the body to return to its natural state of balance, gently and safely.
In essence, this induction is a partnership between you, your breath, and your body’s innate wisdom. My role is simply to guide, support, and hold the space as your body does what it has always known how to do: let go.
